Dr. May has been extensively involved with adult cosmetic treatment for many years. He was the first
orthodontist in Houston to use lingual braces(behind the teeth) in 1981. Since then, he has been actively
searching for cosmetic and faster treatment for adults. Our office has been doing cosmetic adult treatment
with ceramic braces in one year or less for many years. Now most of our adults (over 90%) are candidates
for Invisalign - the most cosmetic and comfortable method so far for straightening your teeth. Also, it can
be used for teenagers!! (As long as all permanent teeth have erupted.)

Upon an initial examination, Dr. May will consider your treatment options. He will then write a treatment
plan and take impressions of your teeth, which are submitted to Invisalign. Using the latest advances in 3-D
computer technology, Invisalign carefully translates Dr. May's instructions into a series of precisely
customized Aligners. You then wear each set of Aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth, gradually –
week by week, millimeter by millimeter – until you’ve achieved the intended result: straighter teeth.
Generally, you will visit Dr. May less often than you would with braces and the length of treatment is
usually 12 months or less.
Because there are no metal wires and brackets, Invisalign is comfortable. And because it's removable, eating,
