Halle
Halle, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, is our official office greeter and is registered by the Delta Society as a therapy dog. After passing all the courses given at the "My Dog and Me" training center she received her Canine Good Citizen Certificate from the AKC.
When hurricane Ike dropped a 100 foot oak tree directly on Dr. Mays house, she came to his aid. By constantly offering comfort and companionship during the ordeal, she applied all her training to help him cope with the situation. Halle is happiest when going to the office and greeting all the people that come to see us, especially the ones that bring her the occasional "biscuit."

I have been a part of Dr. May's orthodontic team since 1998 and love being a member of this office. I organize all patient flow situations, train and delegate duties to chairside assistants, and serve as our Invisalign treatment expert. As a liaison between the staff and patients, I keep the office running smoothly in any situation. Dr. May says I have a calm demeanor and my interactions with our patients reinforce Dr. May's promise that our office will give you the personalized attention and care that you deserve.
I am married and have four amazing children. I am very excited to be able to work with my eldest daughter, Krystie, who will graduate from Deer Park High School this year, 2012. I am very proud of her.

As a member of Dr. May's team since 1998, I have enjoyed my time assisting in the clinic area as well as working as a treatment coordinator and financial/insurance coordinator. I do everything possible to make your office experience as convenient as possible, whether you are a new patient or an existing one.
I am a proud mother of four boys and love watching them play Select Baseball, which we have now been involved with for six years. It has been very exciting! I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and love to watch them play much to the chagrin of Dr. May's son, Jason, because he and his wife Elizabeth are huge Texans fans.

I have a passion for orthodontics that I hope is reflected in my chairside demeanor. I have many years of experience in the orthodontic field and I am also a veteran in the beauty business. I truly enjoy getting to know our patients and their parents and making sure they are comfortable.
I am a full-time student and proud mom of a son, Joaquin. I am a native Houstonian and a football fanatic, especially for the Houston Texans! In my busy schedule I manage to leave room for a night of dancing with Salsa at the top of my list.

I assist Dr. May with our patients, making them feel comfortable and ensuring that they get the best orthodontic care possible. I love seeing the progress our patients make during treatment, but the best part is seeing their beautiful smiles and improved self-esteem when their braces come off. I attended dental school and did my postgraduate specialty training in Monterrey, Mexico, where I grew up. I worked in orthodontics for many years and I am very pleased to have joined this practice. Dr. May and the rest of our team truly care about each and every patient that comes into the office.
I was born in Chicago and lived in Monterrey until I got married and moved to Houston. I have two beautiful girls who I love spending time with doing arts and crafts and enjoying nature. My other hobbies include cooking, exercising, and oil painting, which I would like to pursue in the future. I have even been known to go Salsa dancing with my good friend and coworker, Erica.

As the receptionist for Dr. May's office, I use my communication skills acquired during my time working in the auto industry to help our patients with their financing questions. I am always happy to answer any questions our patients have whether they are in the office or over the phone.
I am a proud mother of two boys, who enjoy sports and hunting. I am a true baseball mom and am always at the ballpark with my son Josh, who plays select baseball. I recently adopted a three year old male Boston terrier, Oreo, who has become my best friend. He has tried to be friends with Halle, but she won't let him come to the office because she says, "That's my territory." She does occasionally send him a treat!

I have been a member of Dr. May's team now for 1 year. I am currently a freshman at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas home to the Buccaneers. I work in the office part-time during holidays and summer vacation. I always try to be friendly and laugh with our patients and the rest of the staff.
I enjoy playing the saxophone in the marching and concert band.

I started with Dr. May's office when I was 17 years old and have worked here for a total of eight amazing years. I love our staff and patients, and that's what keeps me here. I enjoy seeing the progress our patients have made and their beautiful smiles as the end result.
After high school, I worked with Dr. May while attending San Jacinto College for four years. Then, I entered their medical imaging program and am now a registered radiology technologist. Currently, I am continuing my radiology education, which includes mammography, CT, MRI, ultrasounds, and Dr. May and the staff have allowed me to modify my work hours to my school schedule, which gets really hectic at times! I am married to my best friend of five years, Alan, and my goal in life is to advance in school as much as possible and travel the world.
Alejandra Ramirez
I have been a registered dental assistant since 2010 but have been in the dental field since 2007. I joined Dr. May's staff in 2011 and have truly loved being here. As well as being a chairside assistant, I am in charge of the lab and make sure all the retainers and models are made and ready to go. I am also Halle's nanny and when Dr. May goes out of town she comes to stay at my house. I live with my mom, dad, and two brothers, so she had plenty of company. My mother is even teaching her Spanish! You can ask Dr. May for a demonstration when you come into the office.
My whole family came from Colombia with my dad and older brother moving first, then my mom and younger brother following two years later. Finally, I arrived in 2006. My brother is now proud to be an American citizen and a Texas resident. We are all working toward this goal and will someday be a true Texas transplant family. This has been a wonderful experience for me, and I have made many friends here.
This spring I will be attending HCC in the evenings. I am really looking forward to starting school and continuing my education.

I have been a part of Dr. May's staff since 2011. I have three previous years of orthodontic experience, and I love the team oriented nature of this office. I am a chairside assistant and also help with Powerpoint, Vimeo, and other computer projects.
I was born in Angleton, TX but have spent most of my life in Clute, TX. I am a very family oriented person. My hobbies are hanging out with friends, watching football (Go Texans!), and floating the Guadalupe River.
Dr. May always jokes that he imagines me in a pick up on my way home to Clute, listening to country and western music. Honestly, though, we do still have a little country store with a hitchin' post where you can tie up your horse!

I have been a part of Dr. May's team since August of 2011. I have five previous years as an orthodontic assistant and truly love it. This office is so much more fun to work at because of the personal attention we give to patients. Dr. May doesn't rush us when we are with patients and allows us to take the time we need. I have enjoyed working with the staff here and am lucky to work with one of my very good friends, Alejandra. I was the one who got her the job, and Dr. May jokes that it's only because she gives me a ride to work! I love meeting all the new patients and helping them develop a beautiful smile.
During my time off, I love to go shopping and hang with friends. I also enjoy cooking with my sisters. Cupcakes are our specialty!

As a member of Dr. May's office, I assist with patients and also work in the lab, making retainers. I am in charge of sterilization making sure all instruments are sterile and the office is clean and sanitized. The best part of coming to work is seeing the smiles on our patients' faces.
I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite football team is the Houston Texans. They are the best team in the AFC. Go Texans!!
Krystie Archer
I am a senior at Deer Park High School and will graduate this year, 2012. I have been an assistant at Dr. May's office since early 2011. I love working with patients--getting to know a variety of people here at the office is the best part.
My goal is to start by basics at San Jacinto College in Deer Park this fall. I feel the skills I develop here at Dr. May's office will be useful to me when I become a dentist. Also, I get to work with my mom, Stephanie! The office is a fun and exciting environment to learn my trade.
